چکیده
Abstract Powder bed fusion (PBF) of ceramics is often limited because the low absorptance ceramic powders and lack process understanding. These challenges have been addressed through a co-development customized laser capabilities. The starting powder made mix pure alumina granules, to which metal oxide dopant added increase absorptance. performance different granules parameters depends on large number influencing factors. In this study, two methods for characterizing analyzing PBF are presented used assess most suitable process. first method allows one analyze during melting single track using an integrating sphere. second relies in-situ video imaging high-speed camera external illumination. absorption behavior power both tracks full layers proven be non-linear extremely dynamic While track, manganese doped delivers higher more stable When layer analyzed, iron oxide-doped leading larger melt pool. Both dopants allow generation melt-pool, would impossible with alumina. addition, present study sheds light several phenomena related melt-pool dynamics, such as change shape dimension over time denudation effects.
